Vistula University is a non-public education institution located in Warsaw, Poland. It was formerly founded in 1996 as The Higher School of Economics and Computer Science in Warsaw and in 2011 it was renamed Vistula University, as we know it now. Vistula University belongs to an elite group of institutions with credibility and is entitled to use the logo and name of HR Excellence in Research, which can be used by the best institutions excelling in research. It is the first among the many international universities in Poland today.

The Vistula University offers more than 54 fields of studies, most of them being provided in English. Students from over 43 countries are studying there, of which students from almost 30 countries are admitted through the Erasmus international students’ exchange programme in Universities. Vistula University is basically an international business school which has a multicultural and innovative approach to various existing, contemporary and future global challenges. It grooms its students for vibrant careers in the areas of management, finance and accounting, international relations, economics, journalism, graphics, architecture and computer engineering, as well as other humanities and social sciences areas.

The university's study programmes basically comprise various bachelor's, master's, engineering and MBA programmes conducted in both the Polish and English languages, making it easier for international students to learn. Its research areas deal with the issues of China, globalisation, chemical and ecological security, cybersecurity, etc… which are widely looked upon by the entire world.

The Vistula University has achieved its current high and popular status through its dynamic development and cooperation programmes and methods carried out in collaboration with other non-public higher education institutions. The Vistuala University, together with the Vistula School of Hospitality forms the firm pillars of the ever-expanding Vistula Group of Universities. It is the first and the only academic institution in Poland that offers a wide variety of programmes from the University of London, with the academic direction coming from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

The University was ranked 8th in the ranking of Wprost in 2011 for being one of the best national universities in Poland.
